Appointments

Please consider that the office is often booked 2 weeks in advance when making requests for appointment times. If you are having an emergency, please phone the office at 733-5190 to schedule an emergency appointment.

If you use Outlook as your mail server, you will need to put the request in an email.
We will confirm appointment requests within 48 hours of receipt. Requests made after closing on Thursday will be confirmed on Monday.

Our New Patient Appointment includes the following:

  • Completion of our Medical-Dental questionnaire
    • Consultation- if required about the impact of your medical condition on dental treatment;
  • A complete examination of the mouth, which includes:
    • soft tissues
    • gums
    • teeth;
  • Discussion of treatment alternatives including cleaning procedures;
  • X-rays as required. You can expect this first appointment to take approximately one hour.

We kindly ask for full payment at each appointment.


Fee Information

The fees charged by this office are consistent with the current Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, personal cheques, debit, Visa and Mastercard for payments. If you have any specific concerns or special situations regarding finances, please do not hesitate to discuss them with us. Please note that a $25 charge applies to any returned cheque.

We confirm appointments the day before as a courtesy to our patients, however, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations. A $75 charge applies if proper notice is not given. Exceptions are made in special situations.

If you have dental insurance, we have computer software that can send your insurance claims to your insurance carrier immediately. You will usually receive your insurance cheque within 2-3 days with no papers for you to fill out. Please note that you are still responsible for your account. The insurance company will reimburse you, NOT Dr Ross.


Lateness

We try very hard to stick to our patient schedule. Sometimes situations arise during treatment that are beyond our control, we can fall behind. We ask for your patience and understanding in these cases.
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will perform what treatment we can with the time remaining, then schewdule another appointment to complete treatment so as not to keep our other patients waiting. If you are very late, you will need to reschedule your appointment in all fairness to others.
